Sustainable development is an issue all of us must be concerned about, as it means preserving our natural environment while growing in a sustainable manner. However, setting up a company and management structure that follows environmentally friendly principles, and taking practical measures is a big challenge for small and medium enterprises, as they have no model to follow.
First Step was founded to fill this need, to provide guidance to such companies and show them how they can run their businesses in an environmentally responsible way. It is one small step for a man; one giant leap for mankind.
First Step means some simple, well-defined steps that will help companies set out on the path of environmentally conscious business practices, the path of sustainable development.
First Step was established on October 1, 2008 by Nexus Advertising Agency, as an initiative for sustainable development that provides guidance to small and medium enterprises in Hungary, showing them how to change their structure and management practices in order to reduce their ecological footprint, i.e. the impact their economic activities have on the environment.
